This is an archived article from the Town of Gilbert, originally sent in April, 2005.
The warmer temperatures of summer are just around the corner. Shade from structures and trees is always coveted as we seek refuge from the sun’s intense rays. Trees also improve curb appeal, block or enhance views, add accents and beauty, provide fruit, offer habitat for wildlife, create microclimates, and improve air quality.
This month’s article focuses on trees which are the most important living element to our landscapes. Learn how to select, plant, maintain, and water efficiently to provide years of enjoyment.
